Anna Hazare's struggle

The mass awakening is just a little baby step in achieving what Anna Hazare is dreaming of. The Government is in the habit of buying time and in the meanwhile tampers with the evidences in every corruption case that manages to come out in the limelight. Some have gone on for decades and eventually lost out to “Lack of Evidence” and got buried in the sands of time, a forgotten cause for the Gen next probably. Awareness and Unity is what can keep the government up on it's toes. As Anna Hazare has rightly said, the Struggle has just begun. It has to be keenly watched that the Jan Lokpal Bill is implemented without any dilution in it’s form or content. For a corruption free strong India, the people of India, especially the youth has to show that they are concerned about their Country and can think beyond their parties, pizzas and pay packets. JAI HIND.

ShahRukh Khan's unwarranted comment

SRK's comment on Baba Ramdev is unwarranted. If a pilot with the Indian Airlines or an inexperienced widow (Madame Sonia was that when she decided to take the plunge) can start worrying about the country’s fate and enter politics why can’t a yoga guru do the same? After all he knows he has a massive following and can motivate people to take a stance against corruption. Is it the prerogative only of the Gandhi’s? Please, let us not talk of motives and all. The motives of many politicians are doubtful. Aren’t they? Keeping aside a 15000 crore business and fighting for a cause, political or otherwise, risking one’s life is not everyone’s cup of tea or coffee. Would you keep aside your money minting activities and do the same Mr. Khan? I don’t understand who said it was meant to be a Yoga camp? Baba Ramdev’s intentions were very clear right from the beginning.
But what really irked you Mr. Khan? Was it not the statements against your good friend the Gandhi’s? Or are you not against corruption? All movie people pay their taxes but in spite of that many manage to generate a lot of Black money. And as far as the colour of the agitation is concerned, Saffron is not preferred by a lot of liberals and intellectuals. That may also be the cause of your dislike … maybe.

Husain's genius

I am not an intellectual. I do not seem to have any brains. I don't understand the Art of the likes of Husain or Raza. I don't understand BOLD or weak lines. I understand and appreciate paintings relating to reality.
Please Husain’s painting of slain activist Safdar Hasmi which fetched him $1 million and put him on the top artist's list. I don't know if the red strip in the painting depicts anything of hidden significance. A man needs his dignity and the Hindu Gods and Goddesses don't??
On his death a bunch of intellectuals are toppling over each other crying themselves hoarse at the great injustice meted out to such an eminent, unparalleled artist. Some say he did not intend to denigrate Hindu sentiments. If you keep repeating the same mistake over and again it either means you don't consider it a mistake or you are totally unapologetic about it. Freedom of expression cannot be the property of a select bunch of fortunate celebrities.
